Elenor Restaurant inhabits a 19th-century mansion in Ciudad Guzmán, where the architectural intervention began from a position of respect for the place's material memory. The project focused on restoring the original floors, the Art Nouveau ornamental details, and, above all, the magnificent stained-glass windows that now define the space's atmosphere. The stained glass is not merely decorative; it is the spatial heart of the project. Through it, the interior acquires a restrained and shifting quality, where time seems to slow down. The experience is shaped through permanence and contemplation, allowing gastronomy to unfold within an environment of calm and depth. The architecture does not seek prominence; it quietly sustains the experience. The only contemporary addition was resolved through the furniture, designed to engage in dialogue with the preexisting structure without competing with it. The house also holds profound cultural value: this is where Consuelo Velázquez, composer of Bésame Mucho, was born. In this way, Elenor weaves together heritage, memory, and experience within a contained and meaningful space.
